Argentina refused, sending the country into default.

In July, Judge Thomas Griesa ruled that Argentina must repay the funds before it can repay other bondholders.Golden visa

Argentina refused, sending the country into default.

Earlier on Monday, Argentina's ambassador to the US warned in a letter to US Secretary of State John Kerry that if the country was found to be in contempt of court, it would represent "unlawful interference" in Argentina's domestic affairs.

Judge Griesa said he would decide on a penalty at a later date.
'Vulture funds'

After Argentina defaulted on its debt in 2001, the country negotiated a settlement with the majority of its bondholders to repay a certain portion of the amount owed.澳洲自由行

However, two hedge funds - NML Capital and Aurelius Capital Management - have demanded full repayment of the $1.5bn (£920m) they are owed, and have sued to prevent the country from paying back only its restructured bonds.

Argentina has refused, saying that they are "vulture funds", and attempted to enact legislation to skirt Judge Griesa's ruling.

That has left two banks in New York - Bank of New York Mellon and Citigroup - with millions of dollars on hold that Argentina had planned to pay in interest to holders of its renegotiated debt.

rhythms and tranquillity of village life

The discovery, made after two years of digging, was announced during a visit to the site last month by Prime Minister Antonis Samaras, who described it as "very important".

Since that announcement, Amfipoli and Mesolakkia have been teeming with people, who have disturbed the slow rhythms and tranquillity of village life.周向榮

"Journalists and visitors suddenly started pouring in from all over Greece and abroad. We used to walk by the site every day, working the fields. We knew something was there, but we did not expect the magnitude of this discovery," says Athanasios Zournatzis, head of Mesolakkia's community.

A Belgian couple from Liege pass by and tell me they came to visit after reading about the tomb in the newspaper at home.

The discovery has given rise to a wave of Greek pride and patriotism, and has helped the nation put its economic predicament to one side - temporarily at least.康泰

Amfipoli resident Giorgos Bikos believes news of the tomb "has thrown Greeks a lifeline"
Leading daily Kathimerini suggested people were naturally looking for good news amid a "constant barrage of doom and gloom"
Culture Minister Mr Tasoulas says it is a reminder that Greece is the "cradle of an unsurpassed civilisation and a country that deserves, with this unique [cultural] capital and its present-day accomplishments, to claim its return to progress and prosperity"

The residents of Amfipoli and Mesolakkia are hoping this feel-good factor will last long enough to make their villages tourist attractions and give them a much-needed economic boost.周向榮

They got funding from the Startup Reykjavik

Bui Adalsteinsson and Stefan Thoroddsen say on their website they got the idea from a UN report suggesting the western world could benefit from using this abundant source of protein, and formed a company to make bars with ground-up bugs. They got funding from the Startup Reykjavik programme earlier this year, and have just announced the second prototype of their Crowbar on Twitter .
They tell the Nutiminn news site the insect "superfood" breaks down into amino acids that the body needs, and is also rich in calcium and vitamins. Crowbars "provide a realistic, sustainable choice of excellent nutrition in your pocket, whether you're taking a two-minute break from a challenging hike or need a boost between work meetings," the pair insist hong kong company setup.
Stefan admits not everyone is likely to enjoy the flavour of insects, but told the IceNews site that Crowbars have the answer - "mixed with other ingredients like almonds HKUE DSE, coconut and cacao, you can't really taste a lot of the crickets", which he describes as mild and nutty. They have presented their prototype bars at food tasting events in the capital Reykjavik, and hope to go into full production later this year
